Little steps to Joy
Today, I found myself staring at a message that could have easily stirred frustration. Normally, I might have typed back immediately, letting my emotions take the lead. You know those moments , where it feels so important to say your piece more than look for peace ……But today, I paused. I took a deep, intentional breath before replying.
In that small moment, I felt a shift—a little calm settling in, a reminder that I get to choose my response, rather than let stress choose it for me. When I finally replied, my words were kinder, clearer, and even a little lighter than they would have been otherwise. A potential argument turned to a productive conversation.
